The hard-hitting, fast-handling Henry Big Boy® Brass Side Gate Lever Action Rifle offers the firepower for hunting deer and hogs, bear protection, or home defense. This model features a brass barrel band and brass receiver and the added practicality of a side loading gate. The Henry Big Boy utilizes an internal transfer bar safety that prevents hammer contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled, ensuring the rifle cannot fire from being dropped onto the hammer, nor will it accidentally fire if the shooter's thumb slips from the hammer while cocking. The trigger pull is crisp and clean, allowing for fine accuracy, and the traditional blued octagonal barrel features a fully-adjustable, semi-buckhorn rear sight and a dovetailed brass bead front sight for quick, intuitive target acquisition. American walnut buttstock and fore-end.
